Objectives
- Analyse an opinion poll, the method used and the data produced
- Think about whether opinion polls are always trustworthy sources of information
Description
Over the course of this activity, participants will study opinion polls about voting intentions, from before the Right and Center Primary in France in 2016. Analysing these polls will allow them to understand how polling works. Comparing the poll with the primary results will allow them to hypothesise as to why they polls were somewhat far from the reality, as well as to think about how accurate polling data is.
This activity will be updated once polling data is available for the European Elections May 2019.
